Claudia Garcia de la Huerta

Programs Manager On Screen Manitoba

Claudia Garcia de la Huerta is the Programs Manager for On Screen Manitoba. She joined the association in the fall of 2008 after moving back to Winnipeg from Toronto. Working closely with the Executive Director, Claudia manages the screen-based initiatives of the multi-year industry development strategy ACCESS.

Before moving into the film industry, Claudia was a producer and on-air host for CBC Radio in Winnipeg and then in Toronto. She is a graduate of the Creative Communications program at Red River College. Claudia was born in Chile. She and her parents came to Canada as political refugees in 1975.

Justine De Jaegher

Student

Justine De Jaegher has served as Secretary of the Freeze Frame Board of Directors since October 2008 and assumed the additional position of Treasurer in the summer of 2011.  She first became involved with Freeze Frame as a high school student, through a mentorship program.  She has enjoyed a summer of student employment with Freeze Frame and volunteered with the organization.

Justine is a full-time student at the University of Manitoba, studying Economics and Political Studies with a particular interest in public policy. She is actively involved in student organizations including the Undergraduate Political Studies Students Association and the Canadian Political Science Students Association.

Pascal Boutroy

Independent Filmmaker/Freeze Frame Artistic Director (Consulting)

Pascal Boutroy is an award winning Scriptwriter and Director originally from Paris, France and is also the co-founder of Freeze Frame. In 1998, Pascal Boutroy co-ordinated the Aboriginal Teen Video Initiative. It resulted in a compilation of videos was entirely produced, acted and edited by native teenagers from Winnipeg’s North End district, one of the poorer areas of the city and the most affected by the Native gangs. He is also a member of the “Front des réalisateurs indépendents du Canada” having written for and directed many projects with Les Productions Rivard Inc. His works include: Mon Riel À Moi (2008), L’ivresse des sommets (2007), the series: Les nouveaux mondes (2008) in addition to the educational series Mission XY (2005).

Après des études en France et à Montréal, Pascal Boutroy travaille pour le CIFEJ (Centre international du Film pour l’Enfance et la jeunesse), une O.I.N.G. lié à l’UNESCO et l’UNICEF. Il est également critique de cinéma à Montréal. En 1995, il s’établit à Winnipeg et fonde Freeze Frame, le Festival de films pour enfants de tous âges, avec Nicole Matiation. Depuis l’an 2000, Il a écrit et réalisé plus d’une cinquantaine d’émissions de télévision documentaires et éducatives pour de multiples télédiffuseurs (TFO, TV5, Dadio-Canada, ARTV, etc.). Il est aussi le correspondant de l’émission culturelle Passepart (TV5) dans l’Ouest pendant plusieurs années. Attiré par la fiction, il écrit actuellement des scénarios de longs métrages en français et en anglais.

Allison Fenske

Lawyer, Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP

Allison Fenske is a lawyer with Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP, where she has a diverse practice, including a focus on Aboriginal Law. What began as a childhood passion for the arts now drives a number of Allison’s volunteer commitments, which includes serving on the board of directors of Freeze Frame.

Dean Cooper

Instructor, Red River College

Dean has been working as a media educator for the past 18 years.  He is currently a media production and communications instructor in the Creative Communications program at Red River College, and also runs his own production company specializing in corporate and promotional video.  Along with commercial voice-over work and acting, he has a love of silent film, magic and pop culture collectibles.

Cole Leinburd

Account Coordinator, Pollard Banknote

Cole Leinburd is an Account Coordinator at Pollard Banknote and is a graduate of the Asper School of Business. Prior to joining Pollard, Cole was a marketing associate at Crown Cap and served as a research assistant to a professor at the Asper School of Business.

An avid supporter of the arts, Cole coordinated the International Audition Tour for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and spent two years as the Program Director for Camp Massad. He currently sits on the Marketing Committee for Sarasvàti Theatre Productions.
