YOUTH
JURY COORDINATOR
The
Youth Jury consists of 7 kids between the ages of 9 and 13.
They earned their place on the Jury after winning our Youth
Jury Film Review Contest where they were recognized for their
writing skills with regard to how they feel and think about
movies. Now that theyve got the job, they have to watch
all of our feature and short films during the Festivals
10-day run.
The
Youth Jury Coordinator will facilitate their experience by
acting as their escort and leading discussions after the films.
How important is the Youth Jury? If you consider that prospective
jurors in Montreal and Toronto are prepared to wait up to
2 years to be involved in this excellent, rewarding and rich
experience, then you get a sense of the Jurys value
for the Festival and Jury participants! If you want to work
alongside members of the Winnipeg Jury, you will be required
to:
- confirm
the screening schedule for the Jury
- facilitate
a pre-festival orientation session with a local arts reviewer
and the Youth Jury
- escort
