Job Title: Workshop Facilitator
Job Duration: April 14, 2008 to April 11, 2009 (52 weeks)Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Artistic/Executive Director of Freeze Frame International Festival of Film for Kids of All Ages and in partnership with the Education Coordinator delver video production and animation workshops to children of all ages in both French and English.Tasks
• Develop and facilitate workshops for the year round workshop program, the annual festival and Freeze Frame on the Road (FFOTR), as well as for special events as required.
• Preparation of media education materials as required
• Act as technical coordinator for all workshops and special events at the annual Festival.
• As a primary point of contact between schools and Freeze Frame, use in-school time to promote the Festival and FFOTR.
• Remain actively involved in the local film and video industry.Criteria:
• Good organizational and writing skills
• Confirmed interpersonal skills
• Minimum 2 years experience working with children and youth.
• Active in the local film and video community.
• Fully bilingual (French and English).
• Other languages an asset.
• University degree or experience in a field pertinent to the position, such as media studies, film, communication, fine arts.
• A valid driver’s license
• Experience traveling is an asset.Remuneration: $13/hour x 35 hrs/week. One week off at Christmas. Two weeks off in the summer.
