Too far from Winnipeg to make it in to the Festival? Contact our office for a list of communities hosting Freeze Frame on the Road in May 2007.
Films and workshops are listed according to suggested age groups. Keep in mind, however, that the age groupings are intended as guidelines only, and you know your students best. Most films list the youngest age for which they are appropriate.
All workshops and films have limited space and require advance registration for schools and groups.
• The cost is $3/student for a screening (minimum 80 students per screening), the projector, speakers and screen are all provided by Freeze Frame and the screening is run by Freeze Frame staff. Film study guides are available for teachers to lead discussions and activities in the classroom following the screening.
• Workshops are available for half days (2.5 hours) or full days (4.5 hours). The fee is $40/hour(maximum 25 students) and include a facilitator, three video cameras with tripods and mics, and a portable editing suite.
• Book four or more activities (must include one screening) on the same day for your school and receive a 10% discount on the total cost of the registration fee.
• There is no charge for travel and accommodation within a 400 km radius of Winnipeg. Communities that wish to host Freeze Frame on the Road outside of this radius will be charged 39 cents per km on top of the regular screening and workshop fees.
