Freeze Frame On The Road Program

Freeze Frame on the Road is back with action-packed adventures, stunning animation, and lots of opportunity for students to explore the world through the art of filmmaking. Freeze Frame, seeks to nourish and enrich our understanding of our place in the world through film screenings and hands-on workshops. All of our programs are available in both French and English.

Whether you choose the in depth experience of a feature film, the challenge of a documentary, or the diversity of a collection of shorts; there are lots of images to inspire young filmmakers in these programs. If your classroom is involved in video production you might want to consider taking in the nominees from our youth video contests Wee Reel (13 years and under) or Reel Views (13 to 19 years). Please see the program guide with film and workshop descriptions.

In 2006 we launched our new portable production workshop, featuring more video cameras and portable editing suites. This equipment allows us to offer screenings in any darkened room as well as to be able to offer two workshops at any one time.

This was made possible through the kind support of Canadian Heritage (Arts Presentation Canada), Telefilm Canada and Budget Rent-a-Car. New equipment has been purchased through the support of Canadian Heritage (Cultural Spaces) and The Thomas Sill Foundation Inc.
