Youth Jury

Members are selected through a Youth Jury Contest. Winners will interact with local and international filmmakers and judge films from across Canada and around the world during Freeze Frame International Film Festival for Kids of All Ages, March 14-22, 2008.

The Youth Jury provides young people between the ages of 9 and 14 with the opportunity to see all the films at the Freeze Frame Film Festival for free and award the following prizes:

  • Youth Jury Prize for Best Feature Film
  • National Film Board Youth Jury Prize for Best Animated ShortX
  • Films recognised by the Youth Jury:
  • 2007
  • 2006

Members of the Youth Jury will take a workshop with Action-médias on film criticism, meet our guest artists and benefit from informal training provided by Freeze Frame staff.


Youth Jury Contest

Would you like to join the youth jury in 2008?
Submit a review of any movie or television show of your choice (in 250 words).

The best critics will win a spot on the Freeze Frame 2008 Youth Jury. Jury members will be selected based on writing skills, creativity, and the ability to think critically about movies.

Contest open to ages 9-14 years.
