Immigrants and northern First Nations families alike feel the challenges of adapting to Canada’s urban culture and Winnipeg is one of the most culturally diverse places in Canada. In this colourful, vibrant documentary, Winnipeg rap artist and CBC radio host Ismaila Alfa finds transplants from the Philippines, Nicaragua and Northern Manitoba taking charge of their own destiny through the arts of hip hop dance, rap and graffiti art as they embrace their cultural identities.
