Due to the sudden bankruptcy of her father’s business, Ji-So’s family loses their home overnight. Living in their pizza delivery truck with her mother and younger brother, Ji-So and her friend Chae-rang develop a plan they hope will reverse the family’s fortune: steal a dog from a rich lady, return it, and collect the reward money. Adapted from the 2007 young adult novel by American author Barbara O’Connor, How to Steal a Dog is the first ever Korean film based on a Western novel.
